The Goal

Play the Parks goes On Location and takes you inside some of the landmark venues and business staples in the Downtown Yonge neighbourhood while showcasing performances from some amazing, local emerging artists

The Result

The season boasted a whopping 20 performances, primarily featuring Toronto up-and-coming artists. Each episode in the series highlighted a business spotlight to promote the Downtown Yonge community. Some of the performances took place in locations like The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre, the Jazz Bistro, The Senator Piano Bar, and more.

In partnership with Canada’s Music Incubator, The Downtown Yonge BIA highlighted a wide range of genres like: World, Latin, Funk Jazz, Calypso, Reggae, Afro, Rock, Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Folk/Country, Blues, Electronic, Classical, and artists with Indigenous roots.
