COALITION MONTHLY NEWS: APRIL 2020
Well, our mortality, business, personal, financial and global fears are now all wrapped up in one, and instead of simply sharing in music and live performances we are sharing fears and emotions with every person on the planet.
We are inspired by our colleagues and their artists as they make statements of encouragement, create special moments and educate their fans on how to work together to combat this nightmare.
Our artists have great power and reach and are letting people know that they are not alone. Here at Coalition Music, with our artists, we will continue to do so and await the day when we can get back to normal and continue to collectively share our love of music and artistry.
Successfully amusing each other even in isolation!
Almost 20 years after its release, Simple Plan’s “I'm Just A Kid” is being revived in a viral trend on TikTok! The #ImJustAKid challenge shows kids and their parents, siblings, couples, and even pet owners recreating their old photos using the song. Over 800,000 TikTok videos have been created and viewed over 1.3 billion times in the app! Since the #ImJustAKid challenge began trending in early April, the song has been streamed an additional 11 million times. With the current state of the world, it's awesome to see people in isolation get creative with this challenge and how our artists' music be a part of something uplifting!

Even though our artists have been in isolation, it doesn't mean they haven't been busy! Among the many activities they've been doing, a lot of them have taken to doing live streams online. Check details below to see when they'll be online next!
Scott Helman has started a live stream series called the "Not-So-Isolated Live Stream Party", and has included guests like Michael Bublé, Johnny Orlando, Gianni Luminati from Walk Off The Earth, The Reklaws, Alessia Cara, Hunter Hayes and more! Follow Scott here to see when he'll be live.
The ladies of Nice Horse are self-isolating with "Wine At Nine" on Facebook every Monday at 9am MST/11am EST, featuring guests such as Clayton Bellamy and Jason Blaine!
Johnson Crook has been doing a 'Virtual Happy Hour' Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays at 8 PM EST on their Instagram featuring different such as Vicki Brittle, Liam Duncan, Mariya Stokes and more. Don't miss it!

Our Lady Peace released a full-length performance of their Summersault festival which took place in September of last year!
The band also donated all proceeds from their online store from April 16-19 to Food Banks Canada and Feeding America.
